Tiger Woods: Temporarily out of Game

Tiger Woods delivered a speech today expressing his guilt and also about not returning to the game for a while. His speech was all about reading a paper and a strange grim expression on his face. Definitely, something like this is not expected from a sports-person like him. The apology didn't live up to his stature.

Since the car accident on November 27, 2009 outside his Florida estate, he has been questioned several times. Media has been caught in this frenzy of Woods scandal. And this speech has come after almost 3 months. During the speech, he admitted to his infidelity and wrong behavior and also about being sorry to his wife, Elin.

All said and done, at least he had the courage to come out in the public and apologize. But anyways, his apology today has been taken positively by people. He apologized, but i think its a very personal issue between him and his wife, and media shouldn't be so intrusive in celebrities lives. He needs to sort out these issues with his wife and not with the public.

In the end, I know everyone would like to see such a brilliant golfer like him back in the game.

Billboards: Catching your wandering eyes

Yes ! am talking about Billboards, the flashiest way of advertising and the costliest too. Billboards is the most widely accepted medium of outdoor advertising.

Walking on the streets of New York and of course the Times Square, the eye-popping billboards will definitely catch your eye. And that is what makes the Times Square so lively and lit up. You feel like standing still in a place surrounded by moving images, it is so intimidating. This kind of advertising really has an impact. As people are bound to look at such massive displays and for an advertiser, it does the work effectively.

I call it 'Effective Advertising", as the customers come looking for the brand advertised and that itself is the motive of putting up an advertisement. The huge two-story illuminated display of American Eagle Outfitters in Times Square, is an example of this kind of "Effective Advertising".

Some of the other famous billboards in Times Square includes Toshiba and Nasdaq signs, the curved Coca-Cola sign, huge billboards advertising Broadway shows, all these make the New York City look awesomely spectacular.

Recently, saw a picture of me and my husband on Walgreens billboard and trust me, it gives u a big high !!!

Today: Here is, where you are

Does that ring any bells?

Here is, where you are, holds true in many ways. It resembles closely to our lives, like living in the present. The past and the future definitely stays on the mind, but the present is what we are living. That determines the path we may take later. But yes, today is what one has to make use of. As Khalil Gibran said, ' Yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream'.

Secondly, it is also very positive- in the sense that one should not crib about the situation they are in, rather one should do what is required at that point of time. One should work towards a goal, rather than being disheartened for not being able to do something because of the present constraints. So without spoiling it, we should look at it as an opportunity. As Leo Buscaglia said 'Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy'.

Live for today !!!
