Today: Here is, where you are

Does that ring any bells?

Here is, where you are, holds true in many ways. It resembles closely to our lives, like living in the present. The past and the future definitely stays on the mind, but the present is what we are living. That determines the path we may take later. But yes, today is what one has to make use of. As Khalil Gibran said, ' Yesterday is but today's memory and tomorrow is today's dream'.

Secondly, it is also very positive- in the sense that one should not crib about the situation they are in, rather one should do what is required at that point of time. One should work towards a goal, rather than being disheartened for not being able to do something because of the present constraints. So without spoiling it, we should look at it as an opportunity. As Leo Buscaglia said 'Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy'.

Live for today !!!

Memories: Going into flashback

I was overwhelmed when i heard an old movie song. Its a song from the movie barsaat (1995), and i felt so happy after listening to it. It took me back in time, and i still remember that, I was listening to this song on my red walkman, in a bus for a school trip. Me and one of my friends were listening to this song, with cold wind blowing on our faces through the bus window. It reminds me of some of the most beautiful moments of my life. No tension, no work, all fun and laughing away to glory....ohh i miss those times so much, when life used to be so simple and so fulfilling. Remembering school times, gives you so much pleasure.

When we were in school, we used to think of growing up and going to college, but now when you are grown up, you look back and think of those cute moments and that simple life. Life was so easy, no worries (well, yes the only worries used to be homework n exams). Wish i could re-live those moments again.

Pasta: Tried a new recipe

I never tried any pasta recipe before, but today thought of making it for breakfast. And found a really good recipe on the internet. With whatever I could find in my kitchen and almost no Italian spices, i tried to come up with a new version of pasta. The hot salsa sauce and red chili flakes, these two ingredients were more than enough to compensate for the missing Italian spices. And yes, the magic of cheese always works and with some ketchup, the pasta was ready.

Perfect for breakfast, it turned out to be really good. In my husband's words, 'very professional' and that made my day.
