Anniversary trip

It was a very special occasion for us and we wanted to celebrate it. So we planned for Atlantic city and Cape may for our fifth wedding anniversary. My husband took the week off and we drove to the city which is just an hour and a half away from home. Checked into Trump Plaza and began our relaxing holiday.

                                                               View from our room

The view from our room was stunning, the blue ocean and the stretch of white sand. We settled in our room and in the evening we were on the broadwalk after making a dinner reservation at the 'Rainforest Cafe'. And after a long walk, we were in the restaurant on time. The server took us to our table but I didn't like it, so we asked her to change our table which took another 15 minutes before we finally sat down. The dinner was delicious and we totally loved the thunder & lightening and the beautiful aquarium next to our table.

The following day, we woke up late and spent some time on the beach after a hearty brunch. It was sunny and we did enjoy our time on the sand. In the evening, we thought of having an outdoor dinner and 'Evo' was a perfect place. We got a table and relished a complete three course meal which was heavenly.

The day after, we were on the beach right after our breakfast. With umbrella and lounge chairs, we were set for an entire day of fun. We were in and out of the water many times and tried to relax before returning to our room around 4 due to bad weather. Then, we had another sumptuous meal at 'Evo' again and ended the day looking at the beautiful pictures we clicked.

From there, we had planned to visit Cape May and we left from hotel early. Got our tickets for the 'Dolphin and Whale watch cruise' and as we had some time before that we went to the beach. It was a great day to be out on the beach, more so on a such a beautiful one. After a while we were back and hopped on for a three hour long trip. It began on time and we were sailing in minutes out towards the blue ocean. About 10 minutes into the trip and we started seeing dolphins all around jumping out of the water. They were swimming very close to the ship, as they are very friendly animals. We clicked a lot of pictures before sailing further to see the mighty whales.

                                                                         Cape May

But unfortunately, no one was able to spot any whales for almost two hours and we had to return to the shore as we had overshot the time limit of the tour. Still, it was a great experience, the dolphins were fun to watch. And then, after a long day we left from Cape may around five and stopped on the way home for dinner at 'Rasoi' in Edison. The day ended on a delicious note and our trip as well.
